Six Flags Numero Seis!

Whatz Up Doc! Elijah bonding with Bugs.

Another day at Six Flags. I know, we have been numerous times this season. I have to admit this day was a little more on the stressful side. First off, I will never go on a Saturday again! It was crazy from the start from the car ride down. From my house, it takes an hour. On this day, 2 hours! If anything gets my blood boiling, it is traffic. There seemed to be no end to it. I didn't know where people were going. Why is it that everyone has to be going somewhere on a Saturday anyway. Don't people just stay home anymore. Just kidding. Anyway, it was 2 by the time we got to the park. One redeeming factor is that we got to park at the fairgrounds which is so much closer to the park than the actual parking lot, so that shaved off about 20 or 30 minutes off our day. The park obviously was packed with people and the rides lines were way to long. Even for the kid rides, it was a wait which I find riduculous for them who can not wait very long. The weather was extremely hot at the peak of the day, which during the week, I checked the weather report and it said it was going to be 79. It was 95 when we first got there. The kids cheeks were a great shade of red for most of the day. Oh, and I forgot to mention, during the car ride there, Elijah drank a Gatorade when we were at home and had to pee 4 times! A whole new record for him. So, that was a good 20 minutes on top of the traffic.
So, a few key points that was fun for the park was Julianna got to feed the Elephant Tava a banana. Her face was priceless. It was excitment and fear all at the same time.

Elijah fell asleep like an infant for an hour due to his 11 o clock bedtime the night before.
And lastly, we got to go with our great friends the Nielsen's and Svetts and some new friends the Pueblo's. It was so nice to spend time with them realizing how fun they are and hopefully we will get to do alot more things with them in the future.

American Idol

Let the Good Times Roll...I heart American Idol! It was a blast to have my sister in town and be able to rock out to the Top Ten. I actually would have preferred the top 2 only for 2 hours but that is ok. I loved seeing Adam rock out. He was amazing. Danny Gokey was also one of my favorites and he sang about his wife that passed away with a song by Rascal Flatts, "What hurts the Most." It was way good. Jazzers and I were in Hog Heaven with Adam and we vowed to each other when he goes to Broadway we are so going to New York on a girl's trip. It was so much fun.

Dreams!

This morning, Sean went to go wake up Elijah. Elijah was fighting him and said, " Stop it, I am trying to dream about something!"
Needless to say, we both got a chuckle about that one. Sorry Elijah! I know how frustrating that can be when you are in the middle of a great dream and someone or something woke you up and you just want to go back to sleep to continue that dream. So frusterating.

Bar - B- Cue Madness!

To finish off our festivities, we ended the day with a barbecue at Jazzer's parent's house. They know how to throw a mean party. We played till 11:00 p.m. and the kids passed out in the car. We had the greatest time eating good food, swimming and our own personal fireworks show. Another great 4th bites the dust!

Who would have known the hot tub would have been so much fun!

Rice Krispies! Yummy!

Getting some pool on!

Sign of Summer!

Nothing says summer like the sweet taste of Watermelon!

4th of July parade!

We went to our ward pancake breakfast and parade. It was fun to see friends in other wards. I can't say I loved the parade. Nothing compares to a couple of years ago when I was in South Dakota. It was the best parade ever. But it is always a must to at least attend for the sake of the kids.

Let's Kick Off the Fourth!!!

I have been looking forward to this weekend all week. I knew it would be filled with fun, friends and laughter. We decided to start our weekend at Pope Beach. I have been frequenting this beach all summer and have introduced all my friends to it. I am happy to report that we had a blast! It is great to be able to sit and relax as your children make memories with their friends. I have totally enjoyed this summer solely for the fact is that I am seeing my kids make lifelong friends as I have. It was a perfect way to start the weekend.

I am in LOVE with this photo. Jazzers and I are going to show this at their wedding in about 20 years.

I get by with a little help from my friends!

My beach baby bum! Soaking in the rays!

The Payne's were visiting Tahoe and thanks to Facebook, I was able to connect to them and met up with us. See, Facebook does serve a very worthy service. Elijah was so happy because he was able to be not so outnumbered with all the girls he usually always has to play with!
