Away in a Manger

Does this not get you in the Christmas Spirit or what??

O Christmas Tree!

We spent the evening getting ready for the Holidays. We got the P.Js on that Jannah gave us (Thanks, Jannah!) and went to town! It was so fun to go through our ornaments and see the kids get excited about theirs that we have collected through the years. I love Christmas!
It is MAGIC!!

A "Wicked" Weekend

The Annual Storm Sister Weekend was in the Bay Area. We did things we have never done before. We dined on the harbor of Sausilito, played Bingo in Concord, Flea Markets in Oakland and saw Wicked in San Francisco. We get around! The best part was being with my lovely sisters and Mom and chatting it up and having a ball. I can't wait till we get to do it next year!

We are off to see the Wizard...

The El Dorado Musical Theater was putting on the Wizard of Oz and since I had a day off at school for the kids, I thought it would be fun to show them a little culture. It was the greatest show for the kids. It was amazing to see the kids so riveted on the play and sat for 3 1/2 hours. I was happy because it got me prepared for my weekend when I saw Wicked with my sisters and mom. It was so much fun and hope to see many musicals with them in the future.

Sunday Mood

When I was younger, my little brother, sister and I would get in what we would call our "Sunday Mood." What is a Sunday Mood, you ask? Well, it was when we would get really crazy and giddy. Hyper on Steroids. Obnoxious to anyone who wasn't in a mood such as ours.
Well, tonight it was passed through my children. They were so in their Sunday Mood, that I was the one that was truly annoyed. I am glad when I see them have fun, but they were completely out of control. We had our Home Teachers over and they were bouncing off the walls. It got worse after they left. We had no control over them. So, now I am left exhausted after a very long day and feeling sorry for anyone that took part in my own Sunday Moods growing up. Dang those Sunday Moods!!

Costumes through the years...

Our friends always have a Halloween party every year. The pressure is immense to perform and even though it is stressful at times to think of the perfect costume, it is fun to get creative and think outside the box. So, it is Flashback Halloween Magic! See how we have grown!

The Plug & Outlet- 2004

Pregnant Nun & Priest- 2005

(And yes, I was really preggers! Hi Julianna!)

Johnny Cash & June Carter-2006
( this dress was such a great find at Salvation Army. It was homemade and so tight. I am sucking in the whole night)

Dr. Phil & Oprah
( Yes, I know! It is a hideous display, but it got us First Prize for best costume.)

2008 was a no show because Julianna got sick, so it was our first year not dressing up.

But we made up for it this year! This year was way fun!

Blue Man Group-2009

You just throw Vanity out the window for the sake of Halloween! Good look for us, Yeah???

Thank you Bowman's and Bouwhuis's for getting us out of comfort zone! All Hail the Halloween spirit!
